"Non-Pusher" Elastomer Bellows Seal

An elastomer bellows seals is a non-pusher seal design in which a single spring coil fits over the shaft and bellows. The elastomer bellows requires a concentric spring; the metal bellows does not because the bellows itself provides the pressure necessary to hold the seal faces in contact.

Fits equipment with confined space requirements and limited seal chamber depths.

An elastomer bellows seal combines the best features of a bellows seal and a pusher seal, such as the absence of a dynamic gasket which eliminates the possibility of 'hang-up.'

The elastomer bellows is tolerant to abrasive particals or contamination. This is due to the features of the open shape and the 'self-cleaning action,' disposing of particles through centrifugal force.

One major benefit is the simplicity of the design and subseqent lower cost.
